The design flows from traditional to contemporary. From the high ceilings in the existing front of the home, the ceiling drops down over the new kitchen and island bench, then rakes back up towards the northern boundary, creating a living space flooded with light which then opens to outdoor living. The bedrooms can be sealed off with a sliding door, creating a separate entertaining zone. A small room extends along the boundary to create a separate playroom or study when the kids are at school with full height windows to the outdoor living area and rear yard. This house is filled of light and fresh air and it allows for the different modes of home living, play eat and sleep.
